Marci Johnson – Voice Instructor

Marci Johnson has a bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from Waldorf College and a master’s degree in Vocal Pedagogy from Oakland University. She has taught for 20 years private voice instruction. She currently is entering her 6th year as Adjunct Voice Instructor at Jamestown Community College. 

Marci has many years of vocal study, piano study, organ study and  harpsichord study. She has performing experience in Musical Theater and Operettas. Her most memorable stage roles are:  Mary Hatch from Miracle in Bedford Falls, Susannah from The Marriage of Figaro, Lucy from The Telephone, Eve from Children of Eden, Laurey from Oklahoma and the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella. Other performing experiences have been with Detroit’s Cantata Academy Chorale, The Oakland Chorale, The Livingston County Women’s Chorus, and Solo Recitals.

Marci has over twenty-five years of experience accompanying choral groups, instrumental ensembles, and soloists for contests, concerts and recitals. She has played piano in the pit for many Community Theater & High School musical productions.   Marci was the Vocal Director of the Howell Community Theater Summer Camp for three years. She has been Vocal Director of many high school productions including Jamestown High School’s productions of Seussical the Musical, Guys & Dolls, The Drowsy Chaperone, Once Upon a Mattress and Southwestern High School’s productions of Seussical the Musical & Disney’s Descendants. 

She keeps active musically singing with Serendipity and singing in the choir and worship band at her church, Zion Covenant Church.

Charles has a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Clarks Summit University and a master’s degree in Music Education from Eastern Michigan University. He has done a little bit of everything in his music career. Here is an overview of some of his past and current experiences in music.
